Hi, welcome to the last part of the Proxy101 series!

So, now we have everything set up, all we need is to drive people to our site!

In this post I will cover some free and paid methods of promoting your proxy, although it is by no means a complete list!

Free Proxy Promotion

• Google & Yahoo: If you do not know who these two massive companies are you truly have been lying underneath a rock for the last 20 years! Both search engines offer a “group” service, where people join groups with to discuss, obtain and teach other people in their group. There are numerous groups out there who are full of pupils and employees yearning for fresh proxies to use. Don’t miss your chance!
• TopLists: Toplists are basically lists of proxies (and other sites) which you submit your link to to be indexed by them. Many people wanting proxies use these toplists to get new proxies: I reccommend finding out a few toplists which really help you and sticking to them. Don’t go overboard!
• Digg/StumbleUpon etc.: All you have to do is go to their relevant sites and digg/stumble your site! It is completely free; although you do have to sign up and sometimes install a toolbar.

Paid Proxy Promotion

• Proxy.org: I have found that a $20 bold listing at proxy.org brings in a substantial number of proxy users. A listing will last a month and is very good value for money.
• Paid Social Bookmarking: There are firms out there that will submit your site to x number of social bookmarking sites.
• Newsletters: Many people sign up to daily/weekly newsletters (emails) of new proxies. You can pay to have your site featured/ top/ on the newsletter, which brings in many visitors!

As aforementioned, this is by no means a complete or finished list. What is clear is the following:

The more methods of advertising you use, the more accessible your site is.
